A network of
house visits during Chanukah.
The Lapid
organization decided this Chanukah to reach all the Jewish Russian
speakers in Tzfat and its surroundings. "The strategy was complete"
explain the chairmen Reb Eli Rosenblum and Reb Baruch Arister
"We divided the city into different parts. Each activist was
responsible to reach all the Russian speakers in his region". "There
were Jews that invited us in with tears of excitement in their eyes"
describes the activist Eliezer Rubchinski.
"I didn't think that there can still be Jews that never lit the
Chanukah candles, especially in our city!" mentions with enthusiasm Reb
Chaim Zilber.

The arrangements
were precise and thorough. The attempt was that no Jew Shall be
forgotten. Each activist got a detailed briefing. The goals were very
clear. Each individual got an explanation about the Holiday in the
sight of the Chasidism, and was acquitted with the Mitzvah of candle
lighting. Obviously sweet doughnuts were distributed too, and a Phone
number and address for future reference. "You lit up our soul on the
Holiday of lights" concluded with excitement Boris Moskovitch.
